The Albion Review

Submissions are open for the 2022 print and online issues of The Albion Review, a literary journal for undergraduate students.  


General Submission Guidelines:

  • All submissions must be received by midnight (EST) on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Any submissions received outside the deadline will not be read.


  • To be published in The Albion Review, you must be enrolled in a community college, liberal arts college, or university.


  • Please follow the individual guidelines for all submissions (posted under each category).


  • Submissions are blind. Do not put your name, address, or other identifying information on your poem.


  • Email questions to Albion Review:  Review@albion.edu.


  • If chosen for publication, all national and international contributors' work will appear in both the print and online editions. Contributors from the United States will receive two copies of the print edition; unfortunately, we cannot offer free copies to international contributors due to mailing costs. However, international contributors can purchase copies online.


Please note:  Submissions are currently open only for the Albion Review Spring 2022 issue.  Submissions are closed for the Charles Crupi Memorial High School Poetry Contest.

To Submit:
 

  • Submit up to 3 pieces (black & white and/or color).
  • Do not include your name, address, or any identifying information on any piece.
  • All submissions must be unpublished.
  • Please include a list of materials used to produce each piece. 
  • To submit via Submittable, the images must be an Adobe Photoshop file (psd) or a jpeg file.
  • Image resolution should be set at a  300 DPI (or max. possible). Anything less will not be considered.
  • All artists must be undergraduates who are enrolled in a college or university, and who have not yet earned an undergraduate degree.
  • Submissions due October 31, midnight (EST).


To Submit:
 

  • Submit up to 15 pages.
  • Do not put your name, address, or other identifying information on the essay(s).
  • Use Time New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Double space the essay(s).
  • Number the pages.
  • Essay(s) should be previously unpublished.
  • Document should be in a .DOC, .DOCX, or .RTF format.
  • All writers must be undergraduates who are enrolled in a college or university, and who have not yet earned an undergraduate degree.
  • Submissions due October 31, midnight (EST).


To Submit:

  • Submit up to 15 pages.
  • Do not put your name, address, or other identifying information on the stories.
  • Use Time New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Double space the story.
  • Number the pages.
  • Stories should be previously unpublished.
  • Document should be in a .DOC, .DOCX, or .RTF format.
  • All writers must be undergraduates who are enrolled in a college or university, and who have not yet earned an undergraduate degree.
  • Submissions due October 31, midnight (EST).






To Submit:

  • Submit 1-5 poems.
  • Do not put your name, address, or other identifying information on the poem(s).
  • Use Time New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Single space the poem(s).
  • If a poem is more than one page, place the poem's title on the top of subsequent pages.
  • Poem(s) should be previously unpublished.
  • Document should be in a .DOC, .DOCX, or .RTF format.
  • All artists must be undergraduates who are enrolled in a college or university, and who have not yet earned an undergraduate degree.
  • Submissions due October 31, midnight (EST).
